No, FP wont move from phpBB it's a big forum as it is and would take a while to upgrade.

The licence is not for FP. FP runs really well on phpBB and I don't see a reason to change. Personally I'm a lot more familiar with VB than phpBB, if it hadn't taken me such a long time to learn VB I'd probably go with phpBB.

I'm honestly extremely confused as to how switching from phpbb to vb would change the size of the community and how it "would take a while to upgrade" would affect anything? It would take as long as any other community.

No, the larger the database and postcount the longer it takes to upgrade. It took me 1 and a half days to migrate a 800,000 post forum over whereas I moved a 1,000 post forum over in 10 minutes.

Hmm well still..is the downtime very long? No, not at all.

And again...it doesn't change the size of the community. If ANYTHING, it would bring More people here to post..so that's a huge pro.

Cody thanks for your reply, I really just want the forum licence. I would take a suite if I got a particularly good bargain but it would honestly have to be very cheap because all I want is the forum.
