vBulletin 4.0 Screenshots

Saw these some time ago, yeah doesn't look all that great because it's different, but I'll get used to it I bet soon.
 
Hmmm it doesn't look that good. I might not upgrade... 😛
 
I don't know why they would. People get vBulletin because it look like vBulletin not IPB 😛
 
I have a VB license right now for 3.8.X series..

Dumb how they making people buy another license just to upgrade..I will not do it. I'm perfectly fine with VB and IPB3
 
Yes that is my thoughts exactly. No everyone has spare cash just to upgrade.
 
Yea, the current stable versions of VB and IPB3 are just as good..maybe 2 or 3 more features on 4.X.X Seriously? Who cares to pay $100+ just for a few features.
 
Looks nice. A new fresh and clean look was needed for this software that used to look old and outdated.
 
The look and the forum display looks quite nice but i hate the profile page. I hate it how it currently is on vb anyway. It is too much like a social networking page like Myspace.

If you look at the profile screenshot, how much of the crap on there actually refer to the forum? http://files.vbulletin.com/images/cart/ ... rofile.png Hardly anything is the answer. It is all about comments, albums, friends and all that crap. Looking at that, you wouldn't think it had anything to do with a forum. Whatever happened to the old style profiles on forums where it tell you about the user and allows you to see their posts, how many times they have posted, what their avatar is and what groups they are part of? Simple and useful and easy to see what you want. The only people that will like the new profile pages are young people of crappy forums where they are mess about nd spek lik this innit bruv and are all obsessed with getting friends and people to comment on their profile just like they tend to do for other sites like Myspace. I can believe the lengths people go to to get people they don't know to be friends with them and leave a comment on myspace and facebook. vb are trying to hit 2 markets and in my opinion are failing.
 
Guys, Also remember the wonders of vBulletin you can edit just about anything as that's just the default settings I know I will be working on changing user profiles pages once I buy the upgraded script 🙂

If you are a user though, you have to use what the admin on that site uses though 😉
 
I'm not sure of the Profiles page either and would be concerned that it might take away from the forum. As it is I'm not in love with the visitor messages facilities on VB 3.8, due to the fact that it brings public discussions, off the forums. However, overall I like the look and appearance of VB4. Personally I feel the design looks a lot more professional than the VB3 default theme.

You don't need to pay to upgrade from V3.8 to V 4 of the forum. You only need to pay, if you are upgrading to the CMS.
