I am looking to sell my vBulletin license.

The license is an vB3.8 license.

I will provide free services included to install the board for you. And, I will also throw on patches needed and configure it for you. Willing to installs mods for you as well.

On top of that, for $30 you can renew the license and access the latest vB4 version if you wish.

It is a lot cheaper, than forking over $200+ for a vB4 license.

I am looking for $90 which includes the vB license, installation, patches, configuring and any conversions you might need from another board software, as well as adding modifications suiting your needs.

I am known well at the vB support forums with the same username.

Are you sure its $30 to renew the license? I saw it was something in the $100+ range to upgrade to VB4.

Please PM me the license number so I can verify it. How old is the license?
 
There are 2 different things....

You can permenatly upgrade to vB4 for $175. Or you can renew the license for $30 with the maintainence pack. That allows you to download all of the vB3.8.x versions for life and vB4.x versions for 3 months. And then if you pay $30 again after 3 months, you once again get access to to the latest for 3 more months etc...

I had asked a staff member there about this. The reason they don't state it pubilically on their site is so they don't lose sales. Otherwise everyone will be buying vB3 licenses and renewing every few months here and there.
 
WOW, so you can basically upgrade your VB by renewing the support and updates. Nice to know.
 
Ya, they changed this but haven't stated it in an announcement..

Well the announcement was made, but they didn't directly state it for vB4. Obviously, they would lose $$.

But seems like with the price increases people are not buying as much. So renewing now allows them to make more $$.

Anyways my license is up for grabs still.. I do have one person interested, but pending payment.

I can send the license # to anyone, who is serious about buying and wants to verify the license with vB. I've owned it for a very long time now, a few years.

I am known well at the vB Support forums using the same username too,.
 
You're wrong, Where are you looking at $30 everytime I look to update it says $175 for upgrade?
 
So its 30-50 dollars for the maintence package which allows you to download 4.0 if you are a 3.8.x license holder.

You can use the 4.0 as long you have the 3.8.x license, but after 3 months you wont get any updates and you can still use that 4.0 license?

Normally you can't use vB4 with a vB3 license.. unless your license expired when vB4 came out.

However a lot of members complained and threatened to leave. So they decided to bring back the renewal fee also instead of just having an upgrade fee. The whole point behind it was so they could make more money if they eliminated renewal fees and charged all members an upgrade fee.

So recently, they brought in this "renewal" fee.

Basically, if you DON'T renew you can use vB3 as long as you want. If you DO renew, then you can use vB3 as long as you want and the latest vB4 within 3 months as long as you want. OK got it +1 rep for you, but when the renew expire after 3 months, can you still use VB4 right?
 
Yep, you can use vB4. And as I stated it's a lifetime license. So you can use it as long as you want. I've had this license for a few years now, I'd say back around 3.x. So I've used this lifetime license for a long time, though I always kept it renewed and up to date till recently. I've closed my forum due to lack of funds and activity. So hence why I am selling my license.

Got some great news last night. A member had brought up a question and the staff let us know about it.

Basically, if you renew the vB3 license for $50. You will get access to ALL the latest vB4.x versions. That is until they release vB3.8.7.

So till 3.8.7 is released, the vB3 license will remain active if renewed, which then allows you to download all the latest vB4.x versions released.

At this rate you will be getting vB4.1 for $50!

My License is still for sale.
 
So, with the installation, would you convert it for us if say we already have phpBB?

If you buy the license, I will throw in free installation, adding mods you want, converting another board to vB and possible slight skin modification all for free.

Well at this moment I have a sale pending. If the payment comes in from the user, which it looks like. Then the license will be sold.
