vBulletin or Xenforo?

Hey,

I've been trying to compare both, when I was running websites before I had vBulletin. And looking to start a new project and want to know which one would be best for that.

I fav Xenforo has more addons and plugins VB is getting old also the developers which VB had moved to Xenforo they are the same developers. So Xenforo.

Awesome, thank you everyone. I believe going to get a license from Xenforo, and probably go after getting a custom coded homepage done as well. Sounds to me like the perfect way of doing it since doing research.

Well then that's just a rumor. They'll still be around to take people's money in return for a subpar product for the foreseeable future.

I use XenForo, but many are saying IPB is just as good and they say Burning Boards has potential (and it's the cheapest premium one) - but the lack of themes is a problem. As for VB, I think it's as good as XenForo possibly, but it seems like forums built with it were being battered with spam (past tense) - one being a popular math tutoring forum. Since those guys are generally pretty smart - I'm assuming it must be the software.
