What version of vBulletin are you using, and what do you like/dislike about it? I am using vBulletin 4.1 and so far I like the easy user interface and flexibility it provides. No major complaints yet

4.1.12 it has a few niggles I need to get the new patch added asap.

I use 4.x.x as well and it's near flawless. I have no complaints except it's much more difficult and advanced than other software to maneuver around in.

3.x and 4.x. I run 4 forums I think and one is with the old version. Which, if you ask me, is nicer than this new one. Anyway, will probably convert to XF pretty soon anyway

I am only a global moderator at a vB4 forum (and I am not sure of the exact version number) but so far so good. Although the control panel, especially for moderators, is rather bland and boring, the functions are quite easy to use. As a member I also like its tidy and lovely interface.

I used the 3.x.x versions then upgrade to IPB. Peace out VBull 😛

I did have a vb4 forums for a few months but then changed back to mybb i think they have going abit to bulky with some of there themes including there default theme.

I have vB 4.1.12 and i'm pleased with it. I've always been happy with it. I think people tend to have more issues with vB when they have huge forums, but alas, that is not the case for me.

vB 4.2.0 is coming out in the next week.

I've upgraded to 4.2.0 and it's got quite a few new additions to it that i've been able to uninstall some of the modifications I installed which is good news for when I do upgrades.

I can't remember where I saw it now but tomorrow (12th June) at some Event there is going to be an announcement from vBulletin/IB about a new version being released later in the year which i presume will be v5.0.

Back when I used vBulletin for my forums, I preferred 3.8x.
4.x.x is bulky, unattractive, and has a huge load on the server.

I remember where I saw it now, it was on the vBulletin forum lol.

Apparently there is an event called ForumCon. Should be interesting to hear what is announced.

They are all bulky, lol

MyBB, IPB, SMF, and PhpBB3 are all incredibly lightweight, xenforo and vb are on the bulky side.

Wrong, if you think IPB is not bulky.... You're sadly misinformed and misguided. Try to run IPB 3 on a 128mb server then get back to me. Same for xenforo or your other "lightweight systems"
