For what types of designs do you use vector graphics editors va Pixel graphics editors? Which is better for web design, logos, ranks, etc?

For those who don't know:
- Pixel graphics = Photoshop, GIMP
- Vector Graphics = Illustrator, Inkscape

Professionally speaking vector graphics are the way to go. Raster images are commonly used for displays but the raw files should always be vector.

I used pixel graphics in gaming related stuff, and I think that it works the best.
Vectors are more like for logos and even web design.
But it depends on what you like.

I haven't had much experience with vector graphics but it may be very well something that I look into in the future. I've been hearing people actually preferring that over pixel graphics. Whether it is easier to design with or not I do not know. Which do you prefer Sinon?

Pixel is a contraction of the words Picture and Element.
The idea was to recreate a photograph using a grid-based system of colors and tones. These “picture elements” are the indivisible building blocks of all digital artwork, complex or simple.

I'd say that most of the time, vector is the way to go. As long as you have the .PSD, you won't really run into limitations that often. However, I just think it would be a lot easier to change things or resize your project with a vector file.

Vector hands down. Especially for logos and banners. Resize with no loss in quality.

-- 25 Apr 2015, 10:54 --

Vector hands down. Especially for logos and banners. Resize with no loss in quality.
