This kind of traffic, which might consist of pop-unders - may not be totally bad. Note, it's very cold, in that they're not likely to buy. However, they can be convinced to buy later.

Oh, by the way, first of all, you might need to consult a review site - because you want to make sure they're not using bots.

Depends what site and the person that is doing it, If you go cheap then the traffic that you get shell be very low right!

LIke who wants to buy 50K traffic for $0.10c LOL

Those pop-under, pop-over, pop-side, or pop-from-no-where do they really work? Never tried them, I think they are sneaky in nature. So, I don't know if you can get real value from them.

If it's a full screen of your website shown in a pop-under, then it has to look really good. However, if it's something awesome and well designed, then a decent percentage - as in 10 or 20 percent - of whatever you buy might take a look.

You must get to know about publishers your affiliate marketer have. If they have publishers from your targeted geo-location and like-minded audience then you will get good ROI. We have run campaigns for car insurance and home energy in Propel Media and 50onRed and received good quality traffic and conversions as well.

Why not you just do it the hard and simple way and it's free of making an FB page and whatnot

Buying traffic is always hit and miss you may buy a lot and non of them convert into customer or member, so i would be careful buying into traffic unless it would benefit you in some way.

To advertise you are more likely to do it the hard way and gain some great relationships which is ever lasting and has better impact on your site.

I have used propel before when it was known as trafficvance for some affiliate campaigns few years ago and again that was hit and miss.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if the Better Business Bureau award means anything with these traffic companies.

I am also doing that and it works for one of my drumming lesson forums.

Lol, they should. Tons of people use them and the majority have very little complains, the worst case is debating how to get better at it. 🙂

I may understood wrong, I thought you were referring to FB. Don't worry, never mind.

The free google traffic tool can spot bots effectively now, so it must be real, but still low quality (in reference to the cheap traffic companies with the best awards etc..)

Best Snake Oil Salesman. 😀 Best challenge to Televangelist Award. :bag:

Signature ads are a better idea - cause you know where the traffic is coming from. You'd have to look at stuff like how posts the signature ad guy has - and maybe more importantly, how regular they post and the forum's traffic.

If your ad networks pay by impression, it could be viable to use cheap low quality traffic, otherwise it is nearly useless.

Also, the pop-unders are incredibly annoying and could even be blocked by many browsers. However, not sure if redirected traffic is annoying or not. However, in the 2nd case, as with the 1st, you cannot be sure it's even real. You could search for a web traffic review website, but even then, signature ads are still better.

I wouldnt join any website because of a pop up. Onbthe contrary, a pop up is a good enough reason for me to leave.

A related topic would be cheaper pay-per-click traffic. Of course, they claim to have advertisers showing their ads, but are the clicks coming from banner ads (something that would be good), or from popunders on the publisher sites?

Anyway, in the end, it's probably better to use banner ads like the ones that ForumPromotion promotes.

The source matters and people don't like pop-unders.
