For those curious...
A little experiment we've been trying...
Our tv's don't have a VGA, only our laptop, however our laptop also has an hdmi.
1 tv has hdmi and S-Video
1 tv has hdmi and DVI
Ok, I just tried HDMI, from Laptop --> TV with age of empires II: The Conqerours, we could view the main menu of age of empires on the tv, but when I start the game, the tv goes blank.
We also got sound and video with the hdmi on the tv from the laptop, but with the laptop not playing sound, just the tv playing sound from what ever the laptop is playing.
So next I am going to try...
- VGA(laptop) --> S-Video(tv)
- VGA(laptop) --> DVI(tv)
And I'll let you guys know what works to play cd-rom games and view them on our tv since the hdmi doesn't seem to play cd-rom games, at least age of empires games on our tv.
