Are you into video-making? What editing software do you use? I am posting this thread because I am confused with the literature of the software. Final Cut looks good but I don't understand the proxy, what exactly is it. Adobe Premiere is easier to understand but it cannot handle high definition videos. And adding to the confusion is the resolution and size of frame. Maybe I have to attend a workshop?

As an YouTube and an gamer who has spent hours on end over my years I do use video editing. I used many other the years Power directer 9, Windows movie making and Sony Vegas Pro 13
