Are premium SEO optimized themes worth the money since I think it takes more then a nice and fast loading theme to make your website rank high in search engines?
I notice Websites usually rank high or lower because of Google, Bing, etc ranking updates like Google Panda which made a lot of sites drop in rank, and a lot of other sites rise in rankings in Search.
Quality and unique content have more to do with ranking high then nice looks and having a template which claims to be SEO optimized since I see a lot of older websites with great content which did not update their design in years rank very high in search engine results, but their sites has an old design and don't always load the fastest compared to other sites.
I think themes which are SEO optimized are not needed to rank high in search engines, but they can't hurt to try out to see if your traffic increases from search engines by optimizing the loading time and SEO options of a template.
