VIP

Im thinking of adding a VIP section to my forum. But, other than a section set aside for them and a VIP icon i dont really know what else to offer them. anyone got any ideas?

Since your forum is a music based site maybe link to special offers on websites discuounts coupons etc.. or just general discussion 🙂

As Jason said above, some coupons would be useful, maybe a newsletter with the latest offerings, special offers, new music?

One thing I do - and have seen on a couple other forums - is to have some of the features turned off for members outside of the VIP group. For example, I'm on VBulletin. I save things like social groups for VIP members. Also increased PM storage, PM's sent to multiple people, PM tracking are given to VIP members. If I had a points system, I would give more points per post for VIP members.

I give my Ultra Members as they are called at my forums increased upload space, increased PM storage, and of course a special rank to show who they are on the forums.

You can always disable signatures for members and enable signatures for VIP Members.

Yeah, apart from the stuff you have already done, I give my VIP members more privledges and than a normal user. Of course a different colour for their name is in order too.

I would just do what has already been said in here (pm storage, rank and color, special offers or music downloads)
