How often do you do virtual doctor visits?

I just had a virtual visit with my thyroid doctor and it lasted less than 10 minutes for him to go over my blood work numbers and then I told him my blood pressure was 108/62 and he said, "Must be nice being so perfect." LOL This was so much nicer than driving over an hour, trying to find parking in a garage, find his office in the hospital, sit for 10-15 minutes then go in and go over everything that's already in the portal with the nurses, see him for a few minutes then drive home over an hour. The next time I'll see him at a different office 45 minutes away because he'll need to feel my neck for recurrence of cancer (along with reviewing the numbers and cat scan).

I like the convenience of the virtual visit and it's far less stressful.

Wow that sounds amazing i never had one of them before btj vitural is kind of the new normal these days

My work insurance pays 100% of virtual visits, but has to be through an app. I used it a couple times and it's really nice.

I had one virtual doctor visit during the pandemic. By the time I my next appointment rolled around, they were back to doing visits in the clinic again.

For such kind of minor health issues, you can very well visit doctor online.

But for any serious kind of problems, it is imperative to visit doctor's chamber.

I have never done a virtual one. One, I don't have Zoom or the like & don't care to on our computer. Two, that face to face contact is important. Yeah, it can be a pain to drive a distance, find parking, but if we didn't have computers, we would do that still lol
I have however done Messages for simple updates or a question.

Mine are in person when I need to go, I try and stay away from them as much as possible.

They did this a lot during covid and also phone calls. I find it challenging as I like to have a doctors appointment face to face physically.

I prefer a one on one doctor visit. That way they can do a physical examination if needed.

My doctor switched to virtual visits during COVID and while the appointments were only a few minutes, they oddly involved talking directly to my Dr. more than the 30-minute in-clinic appointments. However, we are now back to in-person stuff.

We did virtual visits during covid with my PCP and still do sometimes. I honestly prefer them, but will go if needed.

I prefer virtual visits. However, my insurance sends a nurse out once a year for an in-home wellness check. That's a pain, literally. They also send someone to test my vision. I have the first appointment tomorrow; I'm wondering what they will do. But I visit my doctor and a specialist virtually.

I do it every 3 months because my doctor is over 2 1/2 hours from me. I meet with her once a year.

I seen my PCP or rather the nurse practitioner yesterday virtually. I much prefer it even if the doc is in town here. All my other docs don't have telehealth or whatever sadly.

I try to avoid going if I can help it due to how much clinics charge. It has almost been a full decade before I even went and seen anyone.

I honestly prefer to do virtual doctors visits. I get super anxious every time I have to check in and then wait for my doctor to see me. I'd rather just have a virtual visit in the comfort of my own home if it's something not terribly serious.

I think that the virtual doctor visits are really nice. I had a few of them during the covid era, and it was so much easier. I hope that a lot of doctors continue to do this from now on. I don't see much of a point having to physically go in for simple things such as lab results, medicine, etc. A lot of that should be able to be done over a video or phone call.

Through my work we have access to teledoc. It’s typically quick and handy. Since I’m worried about my throat though I kind of want to get checked. It’s probably just a sinus infection - but I will likely go in to a care place.

I do like when I already know 100% what’s wrong they listen and give me what I need within 5 minutes lol.
