I have used Vista before but i found it ok but now that i have used it properly it is pretty good. All the security messages everytime you install something are very annoying though.
Vista isn't bad once you "fix" it to suit your own needs. Keep in mind you have to do this with just about every OS there is, because you cannot like everything.
Only thing is the speed, but it becomes not an issue once you start getting some decent specs.
Win7 does look good, i'm thinking about running it full time on my laptop (the beta) and then buying it when it comes out as well.
Windows 7 is good, ran it on my laptop, but moved back to Linux. Still running it on my desktop but it is slowly dying, sound keeps going and coming (sometimes it doesn't recognize the sound at all) and graphics errors, but it's okay.
I'm not a hater at all, it is just crap. If they made it more secure, less resource hungry, faster and more functional for the user then it would be great. Windows 7 achieves where Vista fails, if you try Windows 7 you will see what I'm getting at -😉-
Vista is an interstage product. It looks good but I would not pay one penny for it ~cheesey_grin~
M$ wasn't able to make it ready. The end user product is Windows 7. It is impertinent that M$ sells such premature OS (Vista) to end users. It remembers me about ME (Millennium Edition).
Slow, buggy and very often crashes. Wouldn't recommend it anyone, even if SP1 makes it a bit more reliable, it isn't acceptable yet for a productive environment.
