When was your website founded?: Beginning of 2014
Which would you like?: Advanced Review Changed to Standard //Geoffrey
Notes: Thanks in advance!

It's good to see it's been open since a year now. It's actually a very cheap and reliable hosting. The design looks very professional too. Good luck with it 😉

I'm considering buying a hosting plan 😀

Your Review is In Progress!

Thank you for requesting feedback. I have tagged your thread, and will finish an official review within at most 48 hours. Hi C,

First off, let me say that I was actually rather pleased to see that you had a cool, modern, entry page. Instantly I recognized that it had changed from the last time I had visited your page a while back.

The jquery functionality really brings life to your site. So much so, if I didn't know better I would have sworn there's no way you are actually using WordPress for your site!

Now, let's get into this.

An immediate negative I noticed is your "GET STARTED" links on the index page don't go anywhere. I figured I'd take a closer look at your hosting packages pages, but I simply got redirected to "#" instead of a page.

As such, I took the time to scroll back up to the top of the page and clicked the Web Hosting link and went to the Resellers page.

Uh oh, it seems you have not update your inner pages! They are still using your old "Host Club" theme.

Mind you, I really like that theme, so it's not the end of the world for me personally. However, to promote your professional image, you should make sure your entire site matches.

I think your prices are great for what you are offering. I think you should offer VPS instead of just Dedicated Servers. Also, you should have a page explaining the dedicated servers you offer.

Overall, I really like the new look but think you should work on making your entire site consistently looks the same.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I appreciate your feedback! The design is relatively new, and is still a work in progress. Thanks again! 😀

Thanks! It has definitely changed a lot since a year, and we hope to keep on rolling out new changes for the new year. It was actually rather difficult to integrate WHMCS and WordPress in a way to make it all match, but it was still able to pull through.

I basically had to move the entire site to a subdirectory, reissue my license, and work on the new site, and make sure that the integration was set up.

The new site is still a work in progress, definitely, but I was very weary of getting everything set up on one domain, exporting it, and moving it over. I instead made it live, and am trying to work on everything as quickly as possible.

We are currently looking to offering VPS hosting, and are also working on a way to get our Dedicated Servers ordering and descriptions pages set up.

I am working on making everything consistent though, and hope to have it all done as soon as I can. The thing is, since the main framework is running on WordPress, there is so much more customization that can be done, and there is a lot more information that can be delivered to potential clients. I actually intend to start a Community Blog as well, if I can integrate the WHMCS logins with WordPress itself.

I really do appreciate your feedback as well, and wish you the best of luck with your hosting company as well! Cheers! 😀

The homepage looks really great to be a wordpress site! Just need to work on making the rest of the pages look the same and make sure all your links go to the correct pages.

Overall, great work.

Love the new design. 🙂

Few points:
- You advertise as a webhosting "company" and have this page: https://volact.com/company/. If you're registered you should display a link to your business registration page.
- It would be great to see some more transparency around the hardware / datacentre you are using. We don't directly put this on our website but it almost always accompanies our advertising threads.
- You're affiliate page isn't going anywhere.

Thanks! It's a lot of work to do, but hopefully I'll manage to complete everything soon!

Thank you! We aren't registered just yet, and hope to register soon, but I'll need to get in touch with people like you to figure out how to go about doing that.

That page does need to be updated, and is one that I am actually working on now. 🙂

The affiliate page is something I need to create (perks, information, faq's, etc.), but I'll change that link to go to the built in WHMCS affiliate page, until that one is complete.

Thanks!

Assuming you live in the US, I recommend registering an LLC via LegalZoom.

Depending on where you live, it could be as easy as filling out a form, writing a check and sending it to a state office. In Texas, at least, that's all there is to it.

You should search your state and their requirements. It makes no sense to pay a site to do the leg work for you if you don't have to.

This has been fixed. Also, I'm working on the other pages as well, I basically just wanted feedback on how you guys think it's looking so far.

I'm also looking into getting an LLC, but I'm still looking into it. Is there anything that I need to keep maintaining after I register? Also, do you have to be PCI Compliant to get an LLC?

No PCI compliance required. After you register you will need to pay taxes, which vary by state. I pay Alabama a $100 business privilege tax every December. There's also income tax, which If you setup your LLC properly with the IRS, you will only have to pay personal taxes. Sales taxes vary by state, although usually it's on the citizen to pay this, not you, for online stuff.

First Impressions

When I first load your site's homepage, it takes a bit longer to load than most sites with your image-heavy slider above the fold (before scrolling). It's not too long, but given that every second counts when making a first impression and load times are important for choosing a hosting company, you should consider using some design elements that are quicker to load to making your current elements cached or something so they load faster. I like the design of your site though and it works for your purpose in general.

Good

Design Quality

As I mentioned, I really like the design of your site and modern features your design uses. The "load as you scroll" is really popular and works well. It shows your hosting company is modern, up to date with the latest trends and that makes me more likely to trust you with hosting my site (if I were looking for a host). The design quality of your site is definitely your strongest area. 🙂

Excellent

Originality

Hosting companies are a dime a dozen around here, and while they aren't as prominent as they used to be (from what I've seen), you still do have a lot of competition. I don't see much on your site that makes you stand out. Your prices are competitive, and the .99/month for shared hosting is nice but I wouldn't imagine people can stay on 2 GB of disk space for long if their site takes off. You may very well have something really makes you stand out from the rest, but you aren't showing that or using it as a selling point. Show me (read: a potential customer) why I should choose you as my host rather than any other site, and specifically more established ones. That needs to be a strong point you make on your website and ideally on your homepage.

Average

Final Remarks
To conclude the review, your site is designed well and doesn't have any major flaws but it doesn't have any outstanding perks either over other hosting companies. Work on that and you can have a very successful business here. Good luck!

Thank you all for your feedback thus far, and thank you Geoffrey for the great review. I appreciate all of you feedback, and I currently look forward to more recommendations and thoughts about the site. Thanks again! 😀

My first impression on the host is good. I quite like your theme and it looks very professional which is important for a host. However, not sure if its just me or its your site but when I hover over web hosting and click on managed server and dedicated server, nothing happens. I think there is no point for a link there if it doesn't work.

Thank you for your input, MasterA! 😀

The site is still in progress, and is taking me longer to finish than I had originally expected. The site is running on WordPress now, which allows us to give unlimited information to clients and guests. I'm currently working with a developer to get a loginshare working, so that existing clients can comment and submit content to a community blog (coming soon), without having to register/login more than once, which is why the rest of the process has been slow.

As for the broken links, those weren't originally supposed to show in the menu bar until the page development phase was complete, but I had forgot to remove some of those after doing some other testing. The pages should be complete soon, and the links would be updated accordingly.

I plan on having everything finished soon, and again, thanks! :cheer:
