Admins and CTs are usually in the lead. I wonder what's going on with the random Package Team votes. 🙁
Most people who vote for package team are on the team or have been on the team. Admins usually pull ahead when someone pulls out the "without them, there'd be no forum" crap.

And, as for the CT, there work generally goes more unnoticed. I'd vote for them if I weren't a VC, but people in groups generally tend to vote for their own groups.

(Unless your Fowler who always voted for the CT when Andi and I were on it *cough*)

Really, there's no other reason to vote other than that because nobody cares about service and whatnot. 😛

It's a loyalty thing. For most cases, votes generally go in this order:

1) Team you most want to be on
2) Team your on
3) Team you used to be on
4) Team with one of your "best friends on it"
5) Team with most votes
6) Team with best color
7) Actual Contributions by the team members noticed by normal users

When voting, I feel like it's safe to say the above is how you pick who you vote for.

To be honest I think that's a bit strange. Team you want to be on, then team your on, team you used to be on and team with one of your best friends on it. Then there's team with most votes which makes no sense and team with best color which is absolutely pointless and actual contributions by the team members which is one of the couple things that matter. I just think it's out of order. XD

How's it out of order? If you apply for a team, get denied, then apply for a team you wanted to be on less then the first team you applied for, your going to vote for the one you wanted to actually be on. However, if your on the team you most want to be on, the top two exist together. Next, if you quit a team, and become a regular user, you'll most likely end up voting for that team as you experienced what they went for.

If you've never been on a team and just don't care, you'll probably end up voting for your friend's team. If you have no friends, you'll try to feel special by voting for the top ranking team currently. If you want to be different, and not go with the mass populace, you'll end up voting for the brightest color team (it doesn't have to be team color, it can be stupid trivial things about that team [i.e. name])

Last, since this is the internet, people generally tend to think everyone on the internet are lazy bums and that they don't actually contribute much. People don't pay attention to hard work by others keeping the net bearable, so if you somehow fail to fall in one of the first 6 categories, then you actually think which team you see working the hardest and make a vote based on how it actually should be.

LOVE!! It's obviously love, what else could it be? We don't have that many more members anyway.

But a larger percentage of the active userbase has been on the team, therefore more votes if you use the logic I posted earlier in the thread.
