All the acid tech ones are dark... -~-
The more templates there are the more of a hassle it is to update the templates and install mods on.

We don't expect everyone to like this but there is 2 new templates to choose from and there is a light and a dark one so it will please alot more people then acidtech does now. Plus it makes a change as we have been using Acid Tech since day 1 and these are custom styles so can't be copied. To be honest the new dark style doesn't look many miles away from acid tech as it is the same colours and it is subsilver2 based like Acidtech was.JACRadmin said:

People soon got used to it and it helped attract more people and helped us get to where we are now. Same as this... People will get used to one of the new styles. On other forums when i promote this the one comment i always get on every forum is about not liking acidtech and finding it boring and time for a change.

I have seen it every day since last April when FP was set up and for the member that have been here from the start it is getting boring looking at that everyday.

But you don't have to see it...have it how it is now...only set through the usercp. The white one is the current default yeah? Well just have one of these new templates as the proper one, and leave this one for the people that still want to use this one?

But we will have to update it at some point which takes a while to do as this template hasn't been updated since the late RC's of phpBB3 and it needs updating as try editing a PM and it won't work although try editing it in a new template and it will work. At one point it could just break at an upgrade where as the 2 now are up to date. Not only this we have to add all the services to the templates like the banners, portal links and if we add an affiliate we need to edit each template manually. When we add mods we have to edit every style separate and the new style already has a mod installed that doesn't show on acidtech.
It is fine for people like you saying what difference does it make and making us leave it but we can't just forget about it as we need to spend time to update it every time we add new banners to the rotator and nearly everyday i edit a template here for some reason or another. Me or efc are no willing to spend hours of our time to keep a style running and up to date just because some people don't like change and we are providing 2 templates and made sure that they covered as many preferences as we could so one would appeal to nearly everyone.
You don't seem to understand the trouble and time to keep 1 template up to date on a forum where you need to regularly edit templates and you want us to keep 3 upto date. On most forums you are lucky to get a choice of styles so rather then moaning at us you should be grateful that we are now willing to constantly update 2 templates rather then just one which we have been used to for years. Also for the amount of people who will probably be using the acidtech style it would be pointless.
Stop having a go at us at everything we change. Change happens as that is part of life... Coming crying to us everytime we change something just because you don't like it is not going to change our minds.

I would vote Dark no matter what because I am the one who made a Wordpress Blog Theme to match the dark theme so it better win lmao.
