Do you find that you vote for a political person according to how your finances are? As in, do you think he'll make your budge friendlier?

When political leaders are playing a hand in overall economic turmoil, it’s hard not to vote accordingly. That doesn’t necessarily mean particular individuals should serve as the scapegoats, but that’s often how it works out.

These last few years have definitely impacted my political views.

Around half the members of the British Government are convicted criminals. That's a fact. At the last count a freedom of information request revealed 243 (43%) of Parliamentary MPs out of 650 had criminal records including terms spent in prison. Obviously there are others who will have got away with it. Many of our politicians are not particularly bright and majority are obviously only in it for the money and/or power.

There are a lot of people who will always vote one way no matter what, which has parallels with the U.S. There are others and I'd include myself in this group who will vote for the candidate they believe will do their best for their constituency members or at worst, do the least harm. There will always be others who vote according to financial considerations but I don't think they form a majority by any means.
