I don't know why hcf think it is unfair but the reason i think it is unfair because you get people on your forum to join and vote for your banner. It would have been different if ask them to join and vote for the banner they think is the best looking.

My point exactly. Members who come from their forum don't even look at the other banners; they're here for one purpose, to vote for THEIR forum. 😉

Like i said; i don't care, and i didn't enforce the DQ's ... but just find it kinda useless to try to win this that way; when it's a competition made by a member; it has NOTHING to do with an actual FP Contests.

And everyone pretty much knows the reason why a forum is going to win now ... not because it could've been the best; but because they got their members here to vote. ~cool~

If i announced this to my memebrs, you could expect 40-50 votes for me in one day, not including those who may not show up until tomorrow. But i just prefer tomake it fair 😉

I get your point,but I don't think your getting mine man.

It's not like I "Forced" them to vote for mine.I posted a topic up about it and asked them too.

They could've easily voted for a different banner if they though it was better as it wouldn't have hurt my feelings abit...that's what competition is my friend.

If members voted for my banner it wouldn't be because of the "2 rep" I gave them as the rep. is useless for another month or 2,but probably because they though tit was the best looking.Hell,I'm sure about everyone in this contest and many other previous ones have done the same thing and just didn't get "caught" for it.

A contest is something just for fun anyways (espically seeing as it's over the E-net) and shouldn't be taken to an extreme seriousness.

Personally I think some members on her ejust take it too hard on themselves like it's a life or death situation wheather they win or not.

Sure I'd be nice to win,but in the end I could care less as it's not going to ruin my personal life or my E-life.

I only joined for the fun of it; with no intentions of winning. But, the fun has pretty much been wiped clean.

This will be an on-going debate with no resolution. You have your view, as i have mine. We can see each others point. But, I'm going to stand by mine; cause i didn't go the "check out this competition I'm in", route ... where as you did; so you're gonna feel obligated to defend your case.

It's all good, seriously. Just, i do find it rather ridiculous that admins don't expect their members to vote for them, when they came from their forum that it was announced on 😀

Simply put. The best banner won't win this 😉 The forum that gets the most members to see this .... will.

I'm not trying to put you on the spot or anything like that,but since this is just for fun and is in no way all seriousness I'd like to know which banner you think is the best and should win.

I did vote honestly. I don't vote for friends in these competitions; and not afraid to be honest. I chose Toy Story forum, cause it didn't rely on graphical eye candy designs; it was simple, and really looked great for what his forum theme was about. 🙂 Though, it might be alittle oversized, but i still liked how it was presented.

And, I appreciate your maturity on the matter. I knew it wasn't going to be a flame war, lol, cause we both did modestly debate the issue. Without the use of insults or vulgar demeaning.

Been awhile since I've done that, too.

It's the principle that an admin wouldn't just let the members here vote, but wanted to desperately win the competition by announcing it. I still won't stoop that low, even if it is allowed. Takes the TRUE fun out of the competitoion.

I agree with hcfwesker. These contests are pointless if members from peoples' forums just come here to vote for themselves.

Heck I'm not even that much of an active member on CC yet and I voted for them because I liked that banner, if I hadn't thought it was the best of the top ones I would have voted for someone else or not at all.

Making up new rules as a competition goes on are low and unfair. You should have said it from the beginning instead or put it into effect for the next competition.

This is rediculous, Some play by the rules other simpley CHEAT. I wanted to start this topic for the fun of members and to give some money away. some people just ruin it for the rest.
