VPS Hosting?

I have been using shared hosting for my one Wordpress site and have tried a few host that I have not been happy with.

I am looking for a VPS solution and have done some extensive searching for reliable hosts. The problem is some of the host that seems to be on top of the Top 7 lists I have had experience with such as Hostgator and this makes me question the validity of said list.

One of the hosts that seem to tick all the boxes for me so far is Hostpapa, however up until now I have never heard of them. Another one that seemed to feature Bluehost so far I have not been able to speak to them on their live chat as I just sit in endless waiting for someone to come onto the chat service. This in itself worried me as support is one of my top priorities.

As I will possibly be hosting more than just my one site I am needing this to be in my must have list as well. So are there any other host that I should be looking into then?

I've personally had unreliable service with BlueHost, so I'd steer clear of them. I've been using A2 Hosting for more than 2 years now for Open Carnage and personal sites, and have nothing but good things to say, so that's who I'd personally recommend.

I had a look at A2 but their very own web site seems to be very slow to me so this has put me off.

I used InMotionHosting before, it worked fine for me.

So far out of all the ones I have looked at I am now hovering over the purchase option just waiting to push that button.

Where are you from? They're US-based, so maybe that's not what you're looking for.

I've never experienced a slowdown with their site or my service, which is quite incredible because that's bound to happen sometimes regardless of service. They're the snappiest host I've encountered, and I've been through quite a few.

Most of my members are US based so yes this is my preferred location.
