Hi y'all ... new member here.

Looking for vps suggestions. Have 4 sub-accounts. Those websites are pretty much static. Biggest load we have is probably email. One of the websites does host a MySQL database that users access remotely with a MSAccess front end. And that website might be converted into an e-commerce site sometime this year.

We like having a VPS vs. a reseller account for root access, and ease of configuring things. In the past we've had issues with IMAP on non-VPS setups (no. of connections limit). Multiple users on multiple devices x imap connection for each folder ...
I hope the above info is enough to make sound recommendations. If not, please ask away! Oh, and cost is definitely a factor.

Just look around, there are allot of deals and whatnot around but the main factor is the best support the best up time and the hardware. So if you into budget? or willing to pay anything

I always look for a few things:
1. Reliability
2. Support/Knowledge
3. Price
As the others have said, you get what you pay for really.

Does the provider offer a free trial? Almost every provider offers at least a 30-day trial,
I don't see many hosting that do that. most doesn't offer trial

What specifically is included in the plan that you are considering? Sure, you know that it includes X RAM and Y bandwidth – but what does that mean? Make sure that you understand what you’re getting from the storage through the number of email addresses, quantity of domains and subdomains included, and beyond.

For different package is different, according to what kind of website you want to build, the higher price is not always better, suitable is best.
