The liberal media is accused, and often honestly, of refusing to truly cover crime and certain stories - out of fear of hurting people's feelings. However, though, on the other side, a similar situation exists where the conservatives bend over backward to defend cops - when honestly, a lot of them could really be jerks. I mean, who likes being talked down to by a cop, mall cop etc. ?? I'm sure conservatives even don't - truth be told.

Well I see which side you're on lol.
Probably because the conservative side of the political spectrum is more about "law and order." They always talk about that as their slogan. Which pretty much means conservatives are all about control. That leads to most conservative or conservative leaning people becoming members of law enforcement. So it makes it harder to criticize them.
