Story time, folks.
We decided it was time to purchase a new trash can. We bought our current trash can when we first bought this house, and our dog has figured out all the tricks to get the lid pulled up and get into it. My solution was to just get rid of the dog, but unfortunately that doesn't work for my significant other. Anyway, we were shopping at Walmart. I picked out a $55 motion sensor trash can. I was about to check out with it, then I noticed that it was significantly cheaper on Walmart.com. About $20 cheaper actually. So I said "Nope," and put the trash can back and quickly ordered it online.
Naturally, it was cheaper through a third party vendor on their site, and that ended up not being legitimate. I received a notification that the item was delivered, but the tracking through USPS showed it was delivered somewhere in Connecticut. Go figure. I contact their customer service, and get told to contact them again once two business days has passed, as sometimes it gets marked as delivered too early. Anyway, two business days pass, I contact them. It's a serious hassle for some reason that I still don't really understand, but I eventually got that money refunded. Then I decided to order it on Walmart.com again.
I decided to order it through their grocery delivery service and got a few things alongside it. Of course, that didn't work out either. I got a notification that they substituted the trash can for another kind of trash can, and this was a cheap crappy one, exactly like the one I already have. So I'm like "Nah, I'm not doing this," so I cancelled the order. Got another pending refund for that transaction. I decide I'm just going to go to Walmart. I mean, I know they have this trash can. They had quite a few when I was there last weekend. Turns out, they were correct in substituting the item, as all of those trash cans were now gone. Damn.
Anyway, I've now gone and ordered it through Walmart.com again. This time making sure it is being sold and shipped directly by Walmart.com. And now I'm waiting like another ten days to receive it. I just wanted a trash can, guys.
