So I used to run The Hazey and phpBB Communities a few year back, now I run a very popular LEGO site. Also I like to run a lot and in 2013 I am doing a crazy ass challenge for charity, feel free to ask me anything.

Probably not the kind of question you were expecting, but anyway. Re the large header banner ad on your lego site, the 970x120 one, is it placed there via the webgains.com affiliate network? How is performing for you?

Yep it is via them, the Book People affiliate manager, wanted to say thanks by giving us an exclusive deal for our site, so they came up with a banner to fit site width etc. Everytime the code is used we get a nice bit of affiliate money.

Webgains is a decent affiliate network but I think Linkshare are a bit better.

Thanks Fergal, the theme is getting massive revamp in the new year as the site has our grown it and it's not working as well as we want it to. Last month we got 29k + unique visitos so well happy with that as back in jan when we launched it got less then a 1k vistors 🙂
