I think he will offer you his own hosting with his own "hosting company" rather then hosting through Lunarpages or Hostgator so you won't be able to get your forum transferred from Freeforums.

For $30 you can get your forum backup, after which you can restore it to the new hosting.
Although you'll need to get the domain transferred too. That should be free, as it's just changing nameservers, but if you got it through FreeForums.org, they'll need to do it.

Free hosting is bad... They cram so many people onto the servers it is unbelievable and you end up paying the price for it.

No offence Damo but sometimes your forum is so slow at times it is totally unbareable.

Yes, that's why I don't use free hosting. The old saying "You get what you pay for" really applies with hosting. ~razz~ ~wink~

Lunarpages is nearly as slow as most free hosts... plus the limits (such as cpu) would probably be higher on a free host -lol-

The more you pay doesn't always mean you will get better hosting and better uptime...
