Warez Sites

Would they really locate where you live just because you downloaded a paid program for free? they could probably terminate the sites, but nothing can stop people from downloading these programs. Even If they are going to track them all, they have to go around the world for this. Don't you think?

Wouldn't it be a rip-off if you see other people using the same programs that you paid for.. for free? and what about programs like limewire where you can download songs for free?? Isn't it basicly a samething? I'm sure most of you use this program. I'm sure a lot of people are aware of these things being illegal.. but why they keep on doing so? Do you really believe on sayings like " Rules are made to be broken " ??

I feel bad for those who made paid programs or paid themes or anything worths paying for because no matter how hard they try to secure their copyrights, there are always sites that allowing people to get them for free.

...Seriously, do not trust ...Or Google. The internet is never a real valid source of information on any site
Of course I should never trust a .gov site.
Or law.cornell.edu/uscode

Instead I should base what I think is legal on my own instinct. If that were the case, I would have overthrown the government by now.

The internet is not a valid source of info because:
Files may not be updated reguraly, most articles are views on the info.

Let's get back on track. We started out discussing warez and now we find ourselves discussing wikis. The only similarity I can lay a finger on is the mutual W.

Additionally, any further specific "discussion of [warez] related software" (FP User Guidelines) will result in the immediate locking of this topic and warning of the individual(s) involved.

Thank you in advance.

And how much HAS to be updated regularly? A biography on George Washington wouldn't, a list of people on the Mayflower wouldn't.

Also what gets updated more often, a law book, or a website that has the laws of the USA on it? What about baseball statistics books? Those get outdated daily, and the internet can be updated with a few clicks.

The fact vs opinion argument doesn't work either. All you have to do is look for facts. For example if ESPN said that Tom Brady has the most touchdown throws of all NE Patriots (whether or not it is true is irrelevant here) would be an example of a fact. A blogger saying that Tom Brady sucks would be an opinion.

You just look for facts from reputable sources. Not very hard to find good sources online.

The government can basically do whatever they wish.

Not necessarily, the Government may seem like they can do what they want, but they still have to abide by the law, hence why you don't see them killing people 😉

If the Warez sites are hosted in the Netherlands, which most of them are, they are technically "legal" as it's not illegal over there.

Thats what they said about one torrent site.( I forget the name)

Yet they first started to just block usa ip's for legal issues. Then due to more legal issues they were forced to shut down
