Socially Uncensored believes... Give me uncensored-ship or what is the point of joining an online discussion forum?!?!
After all... You join any community online to voice your opinions, thoughts, and ideals. You join a site to express yourself and let others know your view points. If you can't do that freely without restriction ... Why join?

We are the uncensored alternative to everyone else. Accept no substitutes
I agree with thisCharlieScene said:Why do you use Anonymous' logo? First off, this makes me wonder how secure my information will be with you, and secondly if you have a connection Anonymous. Just that alone makes me not want to join, but I like the sound of the site, I am cautious to sign up.

I get this question a lot, so I thought it best to just publicly answer it once and for all.
Why did you adopt the Anonymous logo?
Oh, now there is a long answer coming....
I guess I would have to start with why I made Socially Uncensored...
In today's modern world, we have so many ways we can communicate to one another. Be it face to face verbal, written letter, phone, text messages, e-mails, instant message, social networking, TV, video, audio recordings, or open discussions on online message forums. ]But despite all these many ways in which we can communicate, it is still seen as "taboo" to openly express all our opinions, thoughts, and ideals.
Indeed in society it seems as though there is always someone, a group, or government in which seeks to "censor" or "shut up" people and even "punish" those who think, speak, or express their ideals which may not suit their needs, wants, or hidden agendas.
A prime example is how often a news media such as "Fox News" (for example) will interrupt an interview or even cut broadcast without warning, simply because someone began to speak their thoughts openly. But it's not just something you see in the media today, but even out in the streets (offline) or even online... Socially it has become acceptable to "hush" people.
Sometimes those thoughts maybe the minority or sometime they maybe (often) the unspoken opinions of the majority, but viewed as an inconvenient truth & one in which "others" would not want the majority to make a connection with... Just as some people may not want the minority to become the majority.
I believe in freedom of not just information, but of thoughts, expressions, and ideals. And honestly no matter what way we use to communicate... There is always someone trying to give reason on why someone can not say "X" freely.
Not everyone may agree with the message being said sometimes by someone else, but I believe everyone's opinions, thoughts, and ideals should be shared for better or worse. No one should be denied to have their own voice.
And I could not find any place online or offline, where every topic of subject, opinion, thought, or idea could honestly be freely expressed without censorship.... Socially Uncensored is my continued hope for such an outlet.
Ironically, maybe for all the reasons stated above... The term "socially uncensored" sometimes even is registered by some spell-checkers & grammar-checkers as an improper use of The English Language. Which only further worries me on how rooted we have become with the ideals of accepting censorship into our society and our culture.
Which brings me to our decided upon logo...... 🙂
We needed something in which represented the very meaning of not accepting censorship. Something in which stood above and beyond the status quo ....ie.... Something that said we're not going to be accepting the average standard of what has become normal, but yet seeking to improve and better us all.
We needed a logo in which was in defiance (against) the ideals or acceptance of censorship, oppression, and restriction.
A logo in which was universally recognized and could represent anyone and everyone, no matter what country they are from, what language they speak, what faith of religion they believe in or lack of, no matter what political ideals they have, no matter the gender, sexual orientation, income, race, or color of skin.
But yet a logo to which encouraged freedom of expression, thoughts, ideals, and information. Something imaginative and thought-provoking, but not exclusive.
And in keeping with the spirit of sharing information, thoughts, opinions, and ideals, and yet representing everyone and anyone, while inviting everyone at the same time... It had to be faceless too.
Anonymous, in its self claims to represent all this and it's logo is simple.
Anonymous started out as an idea. I like to think for the most part that ideal has continued to grow and evolve. There is no leadership behind it and those who believe in that idea continue to evolve and grow. Most of the time for the better.
I can not think of a better logo in which would represent everything I have outlined here. We're a socially uncensored community.
