What types of forums you want to affiliate with (can be any): Any type of RPG, forum or MMORPG, but non-RPG discussion boards with anime, fantasy, or any fandom popular with roleplaying {and that is...pretty much any fandom XD}is fine too.

NOTE: 10/21/09--I currently have 3 visible slots open on my table{currently other buttons are there, but they will be moved south as they are not fully reciprocating}. This means your button goes up in the top portion where it is seen immediately rather than having to scroll to see it. Anyone can have their button added, but I request that the ones going in those upper slots do two things: Be a large, very active site, and place us similarly visible {either static, or in the upper area of a similar table somewhere on their front page}.

To get affiliated, at all: you don't have to be a large forum, we accept any size. I just ask that your site already be finished and have SOME activity going. You can put us on a marquee or random display thing, just realise your button won't go in the top portion on our site if you do. New sites don't get placed up top, but if they place us ststic or otherwise favourably I tend to place them near the visible area so they can move in there once a slot opens.

Buttons aren't set in stone once I place them in. If your site grows in activity later on and has us perm-visible it could get bumped up, also we remove dead affiliates regularly so when that happens all the buttons below it move up. And, though they look buried, sites in the lower portion DO get hits, my stat counter bears that out. The upper ones get anywhere from 2-40 hits a week. {Hits, not necessarily joinings!}

Our button:

and our code:

Code:
<a href="http://warriorcatsarpg.proboards49.com">
<img src="http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg308/wynnyelle/new_button2.jpg" border=1 alt="Warrior Cats the RPG ~ 500,000+ Posts But Friendly Like a Small Site!"></a>

If interested just let me know and I probably won't say no. Things I'd say no to are any kind of illegal thing, adult forum {our host's TOS forbids linking to adult sites} or stuff like that. Otherwise I'm pretty accepting! If I accept you though I ask that you place our button up first, I've had LOTS of issues with people never adding my sites in the past after I waited weeks. It's a monster to keep track of and I don't have the time. I'll be checking this thread every few days at least!

If there's anything wrong with this post, staff, just let me know, and my apologies in advance.

lemme know if you wanna affiliate with us!

i'll add your's immediately 🙂

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Nice stats but you should come up with a better affiliate system .. I highly doubt people scrolling down then scrolling again to see the bottom affiliates 😕 ... otherwise I would affiliate 🙂

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

cdog99, thanks! I've added you as of about 3 minutes from now. Cleaned out about 40 dead sites from my affs today too. That's always a work in progress...

sykx--There's a reason why I fully explained how our aff table works. It won't appeal to everyone. I'm always open to suggestions on what might be a better system, though, what do you think works best?

I've thought about displaying all affiliated but it'd take up quite a lot of space and look pretty gaudy. I've thought of "random affiliates" systems where only some buttons show at once, but I find that more annoying to navigate through than just sliding a scrollbar up and down.

Already added you to our affiliates page.

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

I don't see us...where are we on there?

{Will add you once I see it! Site looks good!}

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Just wait for the marquee to go ahead a bit. You're the one before the last button. 🙂

(Thanks!)

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

I still don't see it; I looked in both browsers {marquee only even moves in IE for me} and in IE instead of flowing continuously it suddenly stopped and started over. I never saw my button. I believe you added it but it doesn't appear to be showing...I waited a few cycles to make sure.

Edit: Reset my addons on FF and I saw it! Adding you now. However be aware that it still isn't working for me in IE and IE is the top used browser so I hope that it's only me having the problem?

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

I don't know. The whole website doesn't work very well on IE. 🙁

I'll try to fix it anyways. Thanks! 🙂

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

If the site doesn't work well on IE you could be losing a lot of potential members. It's still the #1 browser in popularity, despite it being a piece of crap...{I use FF normally} I recommend doing what you can to maximise its compatibility.

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

I will affilate my site small but got activity as a few active Rp's going

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Sure, I'll add you if you add me. Thanks!

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Thanks ^_^ Adding you now!

Edit: Added you, but the image doesn't show up and when I key it into a page by itself it returns a 404. The link leads to the image host.

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Here i a few more links on of them will work

Code:
<img src="http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/5138/affihaven.png" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/><br/>By <a target="_new" href="http://profile.imageshack.us/user/loopy_legend">loopy_legend</a> at 2009-09-06

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Have you tested any of these out? Just curious...If you have lmk which ones you have and I'll use them. I can't use the one up top, that's got text along with it and my table's a buttons-only one. And none of them actually seem to lead to your forum...The links are all to other images.

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

AH my bad sorry mate its this 1 i was think the wrong kind of link err my head so spun around dang it

Try this 1

Code:
[url=http://s1.zetaboards.com/Haven_Rp/index/][img]http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/5138/affihaven.png[/img][/url]

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

That isn't HTML and wouldn't work.

What I'm going to do is plug in your board's URL into the code on my site, and then see if I can find which one is your button's URL and plug that in there too if I can 🙂

Then I'll post up the code for ya so you have code from now on 🙂

edit: eureka, i did it 🙂

<a href="http://s1.zetaboards.com/Haven_Rp/index/" target="_blank"class="highlight"><img src="http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/5138/affihaven.png"height="31" width="88" border="1"/></a>

This should work for affiliate code for you on any board!

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Ah thanks Acorn and also thanks for helping me sort ot which link works, the link i gave you worked on other sites i affilated with. Your forum must be a little different with the coding, but thanks for the extra help mate. + 1 rep for the help 🙂

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Bro! Your forum is amazingly active. But, I do see a few issues with affiliating.

47 Boards total. It takes quite awhile to scroll down your index page just to find the affiliates. Then, only your older affiliates can be seen at a glance. Seeing that all newly added affiliates are added at the end, they end up at the bottom of the scroller.

Some solutions : Make your affiliates Global. So they also appear in every footer on every page, so some sections that aren't quite as large may still get soem affiliates noticed. Also, have newly added affiliates added to the front of the list. Not sure how you add affiliates; but this would encourage more to affiliate.

The Random Affiliate generator I use is very ideal. You have the option to display between 6 to 7 buttons. Judging by your width, looks like 7, and also guests & members have the ability to "Show All" or "Show Random". you can check mine out at the bottom of my forum and if interested, I could help. http://www.brawldomain.com

Though, you would have to completely recode your affiliates code. It's not simple copy/paste HTML affiliates, you have to manually add the graphic link, and forum link.

I'm not trying to lecture or nitpick. It's your forum, and whatever works for you is best. I would at least consider making your affiliates Globally displayed. They'll still be at the bottom, and out of the members way.

But, I do want the backlink, I'm not expecting many members to be interested in mine. And, I'm a PB user as well 😉 So I'll gladly affiliate.

Code:
<a href="http://www.brawldomain.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i44.tinypic.com/2aiq8lf.gif" alt="Brawl Domain" /></a>

preview : 2aiq8lf.webp

I'll add you as soon as I know wheter you are or not. 🙂
