Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Site looks good bro. But I can see your Staff area were it says Staff only can see this board and all inside

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Our Staff category is mostly viewable boards; only the Staff board at the very bottom is supposed to be Top Secret 🙂 The rest of that section is for members to communicate with staff about issues pertaining to rules, needing help, etc.

Can you see into this board?:

Our affiliate table is, well, down at bottom where it's always been. True, it's not the most visible spot, however, the topmost 30 buttons ARE visible at a glance. Those are our special spots. They are for long term or large affiliates who also have us in a static or immediately visible position on their sites. Any marquees, click-to-views, or scrollables-below-the-visible portion go into the area below the surface. Over time they may rise up. I generally clear out about 30 dead ones every couple of months.

I like the appeal of random-displays for the buttons but it comes at the cost of not being able to promise any one person that they'll be displayed "static."

For very large forums that display us in an equally visible place, I would reserve a spot up in the top 30.

Click-to-view affiliates are IMO not really any different from a scrolling table of affilites. You still have to click and make an effort to see them rather than them catching your eye without your doing anything, which gets you a lot more hits.

Marquees, they can be okay, but usually worse than scrollables. If they only have a few buttons they're okay, and if they're decently wide, but I see some sites with marquees on the sidebar with a million and one buttons. We don't usually even accept these at all, because who's even going to see it, much less catch it before it's off the window for another 20 minutes XD

We will never use a sidebar on our site...I just feel they clutter up things and detract from the simple layout.

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Great Site!

Our affiliates section is the last forum visible (although, I may move it right to the top if you place my link near the top of yours 🙂). What you will see is a show button/link, click that and the affiliates will show.

Here's my affiliate:
Code:
<a href="http://graphicscode.net" target="_blank"><img src="http://i33.tinypic.com/1zgyypu.jpg" alt="GraphicsCode.net" border="0"></a>

Thanks.

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

added you 🙂 Click to view affs I accept, but I never place them at our top table portion. Pretty much no matter what. I never place anyone in the top unless they also have us visible and static, and I count static as either not in any table at all, or in the top portion of a div. {Still slowly removing the affs who have us in marquees and things, for the most part, from there.} The sites in there also have to be sites that are decently large and long standing.

Gonna do another big aff cleanout this weekend.

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

OK. Thats clearly understandable and acceptable. Thanks (oh and good luck with the cleanout 😉)

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

lol thanks...Not the most fun part of running the place. Also got a non working code from someone else {not anyone here} that I cannot get the image or in this case image box to resize with width=88 height=31 like all the other buttons do. Can't figure out why, but it'll get removed too if I can't troubleshoot it by end of tonight. Oh well...

Edit/update: MMORPG Central's now in our visible portion of our table 🙂 Good luck to you! I know we are different genres but some of our members also do WOW and Runescape and other MMO's, or have in the past so there's some crossover!

Re: Warriors forum {4,000 members} open to affiliates

Update:

We are still accepting affiliates and have a few visible slots open {Top portion of table, seen without scrolling}. They will go fast though. RPG sites favoured, as we'll probably both get the most out of affiliating with each other! Multi RPG sites or RPGs of just about any genre accepted, only thing we don't do is anything adult!

Edit: Due to inactivity on this thread and lack of interest, I will no longer be checking this thread every day or probably even every week. We are however always accepting affiliates, and guests to our forum may apply. So if you are interested and don't see me responding on here just go on over to my site and post your request there. 🙂
