When you were growing up. Was grade school, middle school, and high school a struggle for you?

Did you normally make good or bad grades?

School is not a easy thing at all, you Will spend your time, your efforts and your money before you can graduate. Also you must give it what it takes before you can achieve a good grade.

It often depends on the subjects (there are students who present difficulties studying literature or languages, but are very clever with maths and sciences or the other way round), on the teaching method, on how many extra-curricular activities students are involved. I used to get intermediate grades most of subjects. During High School I carried on very heavy extra-curricular activities, that took many hours.

It was alright to me. It's not that easy or hard. I would say, it's just normal that I had to do, for my life. Nothing more and nothing less.

School was always easy for me and I never had to study for tests. I just went in and took the test using whatever I remembered and was almost always on the Honor Roll. The first time I heard someone say he had to study for a test I asked, "Why?" He had studied for 2 hours! I couldn't fathom that.

My memory is not what it was back then and today I suffer from short term memory loss and I really think it was from my first cancer surgery. That was the time that I noticed it happening. Of course, no doctor is going to admit something happened during surgery that would cause it.

I'm so sorry for your surgery bad experience. I hope the memory loss is only temporary, as my mother too suffered short term memory loss after her cancer surgery. But years passing by, she had recovered.

It's been 3 years now and doesn't happen all the time. Thank you 🙂

We had a lot of 'stuff' going on in my family so I wasn't able to focus like I wanted to. I had the smarts, just I had to deal with other issues that normal kids didn't have to deal with. I couldn't focus on both.
@Lämmchen That's typical too. If a person has a reaction to a surgery, treatment, shot then 'of course' it's not from Big Pharma. They just call it a coincidence.

I understand you very well: when I was a child and during the first teenager years I was compelled to miss all extra-curriculum activities (sports, music lessons) because my parents went on with several hospital admissions and surgeries and in addition all these activities were far from home. And my mother had none driver license (in my former country, it was uncommon until the 1980s for women to take driver license), while my father worked only during the night, so during the day ha obviously had to sleep. I missed a music career due to my childhood issues because music skills usually grows better only if we begin to play since the first childhood years. After that, we usually get intermediate marks and intermediate skills, often not enough to pursue a career.

It was never a struggle but some schools I went to were harder then others. The schools I went to in the city were a bit harder when I was in the suburbs. I later moved to a smaller ton and it was easier.

In both my former and current countries, private schools (that use to be the best schools) could be harder than public schools. But it's also hard for families that cannot pay those fees (remembering in my former country even public schools require fees, but they are cheaper than public schools).
