Have you realized the wasted food in your home? There’s the leftover bread, leftover dishes, leftover snacks, and any other leftover. That’s not including the expired food items in the cupboard. Especially this last holiday season, so many food were wasted and according to my survey, the wasted food in the kitchen could serve as one meal. That’s why we give away the leftover food so the poor people in our neighborhood can at least benefit from it. What about you, did you have lots of wasted food last Christmas?
A good portion of my wasted food is food that has gone rotten, you do not want to be eating that, especially the milk that's gone off. It's particularly a problem in hot climates, as you leave the food out, no one eats it in a certain time frame, and then it's as good as worthless.
We have very, very little food waste at our house but two adults 3 kids and two dogs can eat a LOT. LOL I freeze and leftover vegetables to make soup out of later, and and leftover meat can go to the dogs.
As much as I hate it, waste does happen occasionally, but I do my best to prevent it. I love having a stocked freezer, so anything that can go in there for later, does.
You are doing a very good deed. Thank you, that in the world there are such people. My friends and I also try to give food from our stocks to people who need it. After all, sometimes storing food for future use, we do not notice how many products simply lay on shelves without work and eventually become unusable. Why not share food while it is good.
