Waterproof phones

What are your thoughts on waterproof phones? Do you think this feature is necessary?
 
Well it's definitely waterproof. What else is there to say.
 
I don't use a waterproof phone, but I just ordered a Lifeproof case so it will basically be waterproof.

Those are nice, but expensive. As for waterproof phones, I'd use one. I tend to be accident prone so I think it would come in handy.
 
Before my current phone I looked at a waterproof phone, I think it was the Xperia Z2, but decided against it because the software side from Sony wasn't great.
 
I personally think they are not needed, to be honest. I never personally take mine around any water (except obviously when it rains, but it would be in my pocket in that case). Only reason you would need one is if you think you're going to drown your water under water. :lol:
 
I don't think it is a necessity, it's great to have, though.
 
A phone I have my eyes on is the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, not only waterproof but dust proof. I was shocked when I took the cover off the back of the phone I am using now and seen all the dust inside lol
 
I would love to have a waterproof phone! I'm a bit of a clumsy dolt.
 
Get an phone that shell be moon proof 🙂
 
Truly waterproofing a phone is pretty difficult. It mostly feels like a gimmick to me though. I'd rather the phone manufacturers put their efforts towards things I value more, personally, like a good UI, lightweight build, etc.
 
The s7 galaxy is actually water resistant, which is pretty big considering they're the only ones to do it so far. I think it's pretty nice, while I've never dropped my phone in water things happen. 😛
 
I personally don't think it's needed, because phones are electronic and are meant to be kept away from water. They tend to be expensive anyways because of the feature. 😛

Nice, how do you like it? When I upgrade my current phone I may be looking at Xperia again, they've seemed to have made a lot of improvements to their line up.
