Hey guys,
Since I changed my Battlefield forum into a dedicated FPS forum, it's been doing quite well.

Although, I do feel like it's lacking that "wow" factor. Yes, it has a nice (in my opinion) design, but what else do you think it needs?

The first thing that popped out to me upon visiting is the fact that the FPS category looks really empty, then you scroll down to where the off topic boards are and there's higher statistics. Obviously this is because you just added those boards but that's definitely the first thing I noticed.

Yeah, I know about those issues. But let's disregard content at the moment - is there anything you think the forum could use? Maybe some form of weekly contest, a special type of activity users could take part in? Maybe an extra part to the site?

Get an actually website and make the Forum just for social aspect of your forum. This is something that I am trying to do as well.

What do I mean by an actually website, well instead of having a forum to discuss games (which will make your forum die in a second), have a clan that competes in each FPS or have something that will make people active on your website (in terms of articles, news, clans, competition events, etc...).

I can see how generalizing from Battlefield to FPS would be a good move as you can gain more forum fans and members in this way as not everyone is into Battlefield or has their own favorite FPS game.

One tiny thing that I noticed was how slow the homepage of the forum loads. That's just probably my computer being laggy. Other than that I like your theme and you have a decent amount of posts (over 15k?) so you are doing well. 🙂

It loads pretty quick for me so I'd like feedback on this from others too!

Not sure how well this would work since you already have some established forums, but perhaps you could use a sub-genre layout. Action-FPS, Survival/Horror-FPS, Sci-Fi-FPS etc. It might be more beneficial than having game specific forums, as personally of the 7 specific-game forums that you have I'd be able to post in... 0, because I haven't played any of those. I still enjoy FPS games but I'd be limited to the General FPS forum, as I like other games like Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, Fallout, The Darkness, etc. Just an idea.

Thanks Kik, will keep it in mind.
