I think the post explains the math problem well, so no need to really change that. I agree with Maul though, overall the forum should have a new theme and new content being added. I think it's great you're covering math as a whole, and going over other courses that rely on math and logic but I think these sections shouldn't be bare.
You've done a great job of showing students how to do the work.
I think for some students though, all they're going to see if a bunch of numbers and letters due to a learning disability in how they view things and how the brain perceives numbers/letters. I wish there wa a way to separate the various steps more, either with different colors or having a background with color (using tables to separate them maybe)? It would be a LOT of work, especially as you get more threads going though. It was just a thought.

An idea you can try is to ask literal kids who are learning. Or even how some teachers teach math.
