What are some things to help stay cool as you do your workouts when it's hot? How about outside?

It's super hot and muggy outside today, so I couldn't do my hiking in the park and instead had to do loops around my block. Each loop is a half a mile and I could only do 4 today because it was miserable.

I hate exercising in the summer because I hate the heat with a passion. So I will try to exercise inside my home to stay cool or go to the gym.

I have my road bike hooked up to a trainer in the basement. The last time I used it, it wrecked the joints in my hand and caused bad inflammation so I need a set up of the handlebars where I don't have to lean over and grab them. I want to sit straight and just use something for balance. I haven't figured it out yet, but when I do, then I'll probably start using the bike again.

When I move to my new place I plan to get a bike again to go riding around.

Exercising in the summer is always a tough one. I never have done well in the heat and I tend to get really unwell if I end up getting too hot and can not bring my body temperature down.

Due to this, I instead opt to not exercise when the weather is too hot and instead just try and stay active both in and out of the house as best I can.

My friend suggested joining the calisthenics workout challenge last week. I'm not against it, but it turned out to be very hard to do due to the heat. Currently, I'm exercising early in the morning, but I'm thinking about moving my training inside the house, but I need to find and organize the place for it first.

Definitely be aware of the heat outside when you do workouts. I didn't even go hiking this morning because the temps were already high in the morning and the humidity was beyond my comfort zone. It's like heart attack weather!

I get my exercise from mowing 4 lawns with my push mower. I haven't been able to go and do it because it's been 93 to 97 degrees out. Too hot and muggy to work in.

We're having a bad heatwave right now and storms are on the way. Yesterday we were fortunate because storms were to the north and to the south of us, but never hit us.

I would really be relieved if it were dark, windy, and raining out. I'm sick of summer. I'm mentally fatigued from constantly having to mow multiple times a month. Fall and Winter is really the only seasons I can kick up my feet and relax.
