As for your forum, it's beginning to look like a good piece of work. The nice clean skin makes easy viewing, the sections are appropriately separated and it seems you have a handful of good members.

I'd suggest affilitating with other web-design forums and forum-promotion sites such as this one.
I'd also suggest re-assigning your user-ranks, because a member with 35 posts is still showing as a "New user".

Finally, it may be worth considering upgrading to PHPBB 3.0x once the BETA Version has been fully developed and the final version released.

Yes, we're keeping an eye on 3.0x and will test the release version when it's available.

Thanks for your comments on our forum, the user ranks were set at 100 for the first step - we did this on purpose.

The problem with affiliating with same subject forums is it can be viewed as like you're treading on their toes and trying to influence their members.

We try not to do this, in the same way as we probably wouldn't want same subject forums being advertised directly on our site.

I don't like the background color. It almost blinded me when I clicked on the link. I'd make the skin have a darker color if I were you.

Fair comment, but we like it bright. I personally prefer light backgrounds with darker text.

It's supposed to be a bright silver and blue.
