Hello,
I am looking for a decent host that is no more then $4 a month Australian Dollars.

Any ideas?

I am looking for a decent amount of bandwidth unlimited daily hits and good for a small or medium community
my current host is free and the daily hits is limited ive already used 11% which is only 4 users and 11 guests
Thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰

How much bandwidth are you looking for? I'm currently giving away a few free accounts at Volact.com valued starting at a little over 1 Australian Dollar. I also offer quoted plans, where you tell me what you need and I'll send a quote/invoice.

Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

I be able to to purchase hosting next week as that's when I get paid again my budget is also low at the moment so that's why I'm sticking with free or low budget for now.
Since I only just launched the forums yesterday I say maybe 50 to 100GB a month might be enough or more ๐Ÿ˜‰

it's only a new community so won't need too much

Sounds great PM me a link and I check it out ๐Ÿ˜€

How about Instafree
They are free shared hosting with great servers you won't have problem. My forum is doing fine there ๐Ÿ™‚
I had 140+ guests+users one time and still it didn't break. I am still to discover what their breaking limit is lol

And if you need to upgrade to premium hosting (which doubles all resources) it's $12/year only.

Actually sounds like they have great deals ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm going to check them out and if I had the money I would go with a paid host but I might need to put ads on the site to cover these funds once it get's bigger.

I might upgrade the forums next week once I transfer the site may go down till the DNS update it self.

Yes for huge forum, you are better with paid service.
Instafree gives 10GB space and 100 GB bandwidth/month for free. I have never gone beyond 5% of their CPU usage so far. Never had any black out.

But before you register at Instafree, note that they have banned some countries from registering because of spam history. If your country is on ban list, you should email them personally and they will let you in on a person-person basis.

I doubt you would need more than a few GBs of bandwidth. I don't see many sites using over that. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I would recommend picking one of the reputable FP hosts which have been around for more than a year: USHost247, PremiereHost.net, ourselves (holderhost) etc. ๐Ÿ™‚

It doesn't matter now for some reason the domain saying that its expired when it hasn't..

Hey! Firstly, you can check many hosting companies if you visit our directory. Secondly, could you share a screenshot with the domain expiration page? Have you tried to contact your domain registrar? ๐Ÿ™‚

I have cleared my Computer's IPConfig DNS cache and it seemed to of fixed the issue so it must of been the cache in windows.

Also have any of you heard of hostinger? I might try them out and see how they are

I know. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Hostinger provides the same hosting plans for each country. I don't know if the company uses different servers though.

I think they might since there when looking at my domain when i configured the name servers are ns1.hostinger.co.uk

Anyway i'm moving my site offer to there servers now and I may as will give them a shot ๐Ÿ˜‰

Another good thing is that they have no daily hit's limit

Actually a good question comes to mind, How much bandwidth would facebook use each month? (there the biggest site around at the moment)

-- June 23rd, 2014, 11:43 pm --

They seem a little slow at times :/

Maybe it's just because the domain is still propagating hopefully it improves in 24 hours.

Don't worry. If it continues being slow, you are permitted to request your money back within 30 days. They have 30 Days Money Back Guarantee. :great:

Its on the free plan before I consider to pay for a plan and wouldn't the free plans be on the same server.

Their free plans are through their YouHosting brand I think. If you want to be put on their proper paid plans on a different server then you would need to use hosting24.com. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It still alright for free I guess and if I upgrade I need to wait for the domain to propagate again :/
