Hi,

I am about to submit my first bid for a project. Does anyone knows a very simple and good lay out for one and how does webmaster normally charges? per hour? if so, do you just submit the hours work pero week?

Or should it be better to charge for the overall project and ask for 1/2 first and the 1/2 and the end?

Thank you 🙂

Depends on the job, depends on your portfolio, depends on the client and depends on how fast you want the money.

I would charge per hour, I usually don't do this when bidding for certain bids online due to the fact that I am trying to outbid those from India (who can work for $2-3/hr) whereas I can't make a living off of that.

Find a good area and pricing / hour that you feel your SKILLS are worth. If you find clients you find them, if not you don't. When you go to talk to the client though, give them your estimated time and the overall cost. There might be more fees that big web design companies charge businesses - cuz the businesses can get away with it, though give them a basis to go off of.

After that, you can bill them weekly, bi-weekly (depending on how long the project takes) or charge a percentage up front and the rest upon completion. Honestly, it is all up to you.

Thank you JamesD31 🙂 This will help me a lot. I have been more into programming and database admin jobs than these kind of job and that is why I am kind of new at this. I ahve done my other skills working through companies, and not by myself.

Again, thank you 🙂
