Re: Webmaster's Forum - The Forum for Admins

I think you need a custom theme or a theme besides the default with minor tweaks to attract a few eyes. I have a graphic eye and I always look at the sites theme before going any further.

It actually isn't the default MyBB theme, it is based off the default IPB theme. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have a look around for another theme that I like which stands out more.

Re: Webmaster's Forum - The Forum for Admins

Good luck with it.

Nice site. Just submitted my site to your top list 🙂

One suggestion if I may is for the Top site to use a small image

Not much of a Admin forum, lacks all the important aspects. No content at all...

"Lacks all the important aspects." Such as? I appreciate constructive criticism, but saying that it is lacking everything isn't very constructive.

Being a brand new forum, a lack of content is to be expected. I've been busy setting up various other things such as the forum categories, the theme, our topsite, our URL shortener and plugins.

I didnt say it lacks everything, it lacks key things webmaster forums should have. I can name some if you would like to help you add stuff.

Congratulations on the new forum software.

Edit : You should use your main domain instead of a sub-domain.

The reason we use the subdomain is because it's a webmaster forum.

web.master.org

Makes more sense than master-forum.org, and my main domain redirects to the forum anyway.

Re: Webmaster's Forum - The Forum for Admins[Now with a Topl

I see that, but I wouldn't have purchased that TLD.

New visitors might think your forum's link is "webmaster.org" , without the dot.

When they try to navigate back to the website, using their memory, typing the URL in their web browser, then they might visit a different website.

But, that's just my point of view on this matter and it depends on the person that visited the website.

I see where you are coming from - but try and find a domain name that isn't already registered with "webmasterforum" or something similar in it.

Also, on most browsers if they had visited the site before and they typed in "web" it would come up with recently visited sites, allowing them to click that link.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's hard to do anything about it.
