Q: Does a person’s name influence the person they become?
This reminds me of an idea from a fantasy series I'm reading. The royal family are all given names that describe how their parents want them to act when they grow up. A king named Shrood names his hiers Prince Chivalry, Prince Varity, and Prince Regal, for example. This was from Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy. Good stuff. I don't thing names influence by themselves, though anyone who goes by Matt is bound to be vastly superior to any snob who goes by Matthew or Matthias.
Q: What should be the goal of humanity?
To have as much fun for as long as possible.
Q: If you could become immortal on the condition you would NEVER be able to die or kill yourself, would you choose immortality?
F*** yes.
Q: How will humans as a species go extinct?
Will we? If we do, then it will definitely be at our own hands. Nothing on earth can threaten us, aside ourselves. We will have the technology to escape our solar system far before our planet or star die. There don't seem to be any hostile alien species in our corner of the galaxy, otherwise they would have already wiped us out back in cave man times. If we manage to distribute ourselves beyond this galaxy, and end death medically, I'm hoping that our fate will be to ascend to a post-physical state.
Q: What actions in your life will have the longest reaching consequences? How long will those effects be felt?
I would think web development and drumming, but my traveling overseas once, even if it was for model-type jobs (fake superficial), have had a powerful influence, both positive and negative.
