Every week I will post a new thread with series of 5 questions per week that should make you think a little. Because of this, you can take your time to answer, answer them at once, or just pick which you want to answer.
This week's set of questions are:
Q: Would things get better or worse if humans focused on what was going well rather than what’s going wrong?
Q: What benefits does art provide society? Does art hurt society in any way?
Q: How likely do you think it will be that humans will last another 1,000 years without killing ourselves off?
Q: What do you attribute the biggest successes in your life to? How about your largest failures?
Q: If freedom is simply being able to do what you want, are animals freer than humans?
So much art is tied with porn. I mean, take Renderosity or some other 3D computer art site, it's all porn (Well, I mean sort of under the cover, if you know what I mean!) Anyway, if you have no religious or other moral objection, then it's not a big deal in many cases, though.
Biggest success in life >>> not getting banned from FP <<< second biggest success? Probably moving to Seattle. Biggest failure? Well first, there’s not getting banned from FP.
Q: Would things get better or worse if humans focused on what was going well rather than what’s going wrong?
Not acknowledging problems will not provide positive solutions. Q: What benefits does art provide society? Does art hurt society in any way?
Some people say that music and other related skills is seen as "art". I think art makes one's brain actually think about what is being portrayed. Art itself cannot hurt society, but the ones making the art could cast a negative shadow into society. Q: How likely do you think it will be that humans will last another 1,000 years without killing ourselves off?
Humans evolve and adapt. I believe we will be around, but way more advanced than we are now. Q: If freedom is simply being able to do what you want, are animals freer than humans?
Freedom means many different things. Freedom can come into factor by meaning you are available to make your own decisions about your life instead of being told how to live your life. Having choices that dramatically change your life, such as deciding to have kids, is freedom. In a sense, animals are more free but they are losing that freedom because of humans taking away land that give them that freedom.
On the upside to the art thing, it's incredibly beneficial at the moment. I mean, marketing is massively dependent on it. For instance, people will pay good money for social media images (to go with their posts).
