Who does weight training? What do you use to build muscle?

I have some small hand weights (well, one is 15 pounds but I used that when I had good muscles in my arms), and I have one of those stretchy bands, but I get too lazy to use anything.

I have resistance bands and hand weights, as well, but because of present health conditions I'm limited in what I can do, for now. Looking forward to when I'm able to get back to using everything, because right now I'm doing nothing but gaining weight, and that's frustrating!

As we get older we have to fight weight gain as well!! My dad is taking those shots, but it's slow going for his weight loss. He pays less for groceries, so I think it evens out?

True, but doing less doesn't help with weight loss either, lol. I need to fix my legs so I can move, so I can exercise properly.

I have degenerative disc disease in my spine which means maintaining my upper body strength to compensate. To that end I have a set of weights and bars that I use most days.

I only use body weight for my training, I don’t have time to visit the gym which is far away. So I just do pushups and squats to keep fit.

That works! I remember in gym class when I was in junior high that my teacher said we didn't need weights and we could squeeze our muscles to make them strong. Like for our arms, just tense them up and do it repeatedly. I guess I'm too lazy.

I've been lifting 25-pound weights for the past two to three weeks. I think it's too soon to see if there's any difference in muscle mass. I mainly need to focus on losing weight.

My legs get a good workout and my arms lately from carrying luggage. However, with no luggage, I need to get back to the gym.
