Weird Thing In My Forum

I need help! I just found this out today but whenever I close down my tab for my website, then come back to the site again, for some reason, it logged me out even though I didn't logged out. Do you know what's happening to my forum. Thanks! This could be something with php script.

I doubt it's your forum, either you haven't set it to "Remember me" or "Always remember me everytime i visit" etc. or you have your browser set to remove your cookies when you close it.

Check you cookie settings in the acp and if they look right then clear your cookies and restart your browser then visit your site again.

Same thing happened to me. I tried that cookie and cashe thing and it didnt work. I actually turned off my virus protection (avast). Now it works ^^

Make sure cookies is enable also make sure on the forum itself you have remember me selected.

It is not a good idea to disable all your antivirus protection to keep yourself logged in to a forum.

What Fowler said. It also matters what your using for your forum software some forum software do this sometimes by themselfs.

If you're using Firefox just try re-setting your cache by pressing CTRL + F5.

If disabling Avast helps keep you logged in, it might be best to make sure that Avast is up to date and make sure that phpBB3 is up to date. If there was a known problem between a popular antivirus software and a forum software, i would have thought phpBB would have fixed it unless it happened since the last release.

If it happens on just your site and no other site using the same software then it probably isn't directly down to Avast.
