Well, it passed

I'd vote for Reagan. Even though he is deceased, he'd make a much better president than all the others.

Yep. Let's take care of the wealthiest 5% of Americans and disregard everyone else.

I second that motion, but Rush Limbaugh is alive, so I think he's our best bet.

Apparently you don't know US history all that well. Reagan gave tax cuts too all classes, not just the wealthy:

Unemployment decreased, minimum wage stayed the same, inflation decreased, federal income taxes decreased...

@Snobo: Is there anything you approve of that is conservative/republican? Maybe emancipation?

@Kirisute Gomen: Tax cuts are GOOD. It gets the economy in motion, allowing people to invest in the future.

At the current time, there isn't. Historically, there are some Republican ideas of which I approve, but they are hardly conservative in nature.

I know that question isn't directed to me (derp), but here's my list:

As for the Republicans being the civil rights party, have you ever heard of the Civil Rights Act of 1964? How about the current Republican party that denies civil rights to homosexuals?

Bill Clinton skyrocketed taxes with the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993.

Bill Clinton was actually fairly conservative in his economic policies.

In the preamble to the Constitution, it says, "...secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity." You could interpret that it could be for gay marriage (Blessings of Liberty).

I personally have no opinion on gay marriage, but if your going to bash conservatives on it, remember that Obama (and a number of other liberals) doesn't support it either.

That's because Obama and a lot of the other Democrats who are in control right now aren't very liberal. In fact, a lot of the Democrats in Congress are very conservative.

I wouldn't say that they are very conservative (except maybe compared to a communist or similar), but there are a bunch that have conservative values. Gay marriage is one of the issues where most of the supporters are on the far left because it is such a liberal idea.

Apologies. My "very conservative" was a misspeak.

I also suppose that I have a different opinion on what constitutes a liberal than you do since I'm so far to the left myself.

Complain about taxes? You're paying a fraction compared to most other countries.

http://blog.turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tip ... countries/
http://www.worldwide-tax.com/ (NOTE: Most Canadian provinces also have a provincial tax, which is usually around 8%)

You can't really get stuff back if you don't pay in. Do you honestly think a corporate tax cut is a GOOD thing? Many of them (I won't say all for a reason) already ripping off customers every day with crap expecting them to buy it. Look at today's albums. There's really only one (maybe two or three) good songs on many albums these days. Where were the days where there were nine good songs on a nine-song album (like Led Zeppelin's IV album, or what about Boston by Boston, or Rubber Soul by The Beatles)? I honestly doubt the US version of The X Factor will beat out season 1 of American Idol.

A quick question, Snobo. Where do you turn to for your news? It seems as if you have quite varying opinions from us.
