I'm really not that great at writing these kind of posts; which is ironic, because this is my fourth one. 😛 Oh well.
As you may have guessed from the title, I'm retiring from my position here at FP. It's been a fun journey being back on the staff team for another stint, but I just don't feel like my heart is in it anymore, and I don't want to be the type of guy that holds back the 'young guns' just so I can keep a colored name. 😛 I want to be the kind of guy who gives 100% at what he does, and if I can't do that, then it's time for me to pass the reins. I don't know what the future holds, and I don't know if this will be my last term on FP as a staff member or not. However, I do know that the forum is in good hands, and we've made a lot of improvements over the last 9 months that couldn't have happened without some serious dedication. So thank you, members and staff members alike, for everything, and it's been a pleasure. 🙂
In particular, there are just a few people I'd like to personally address before closing this letter.
@Quacker Jack - Thanks for everything, man. Whether a lot of people realize it or not, this man is one of the hardest workers in FP's history. I sincerely doubt the forum would look like it is, or be structured like it is without him. Thanks for giving me a chance and showing me the ropes, and I'll always consider you a friend.
@Eternal - I know we don't get around to talking much anymore, but you're the best friend I've made on this forum, and it was great working with you. I hope no one forgets all that you've done for this place, and like I said to Jack; thanks for helping me on the way up and giving me plenty of opportunities!
@LunarSouls (Thomasss) - This is a hard thing for me to say without degrading other people, but I have to be honest. You are the best staff member I've ever hired from off the staff team, and you're a great guy on top of that. I have absolutely no doubt that you'll go on to do wonderful things, and I hope that I wasn't too bad of a role model for you during these last few weeks. 🙂
@Cierra - You're a great fit for the CT, and you did a really good job of blending in. I wish I could've gotten to know you a bit better, but I understand not everyone is the social type. 😛 Thanks for all you've done on the RT and on the CT, I wish you luck in the future!
@Sharon - You're a posting machine! You seriously have a lot of love for this place, and it shows. You've really blossomed into an excellent CT member, and I think you have great things in store!
@Sinon - Just, wow. At one point, I mentioned to you that the only person I've ever seen with your sort of work ethic is [user]Red Herring[/user]. You're such a driven individual and you've done a lot for this forum after practically coming out of nowhere. I'm confident that the forum is going to keep going in an excellent direction if you're around, along with Phio and Master!
@Phioooo - It's always been a pleasure working with you, and I'm so proud that you made it all the way to admin! This is no small feat, since I know how hard you have had to work outside of FP, in school and with other things. Keep it up. 🙂
@MasterA - You really came along at a good time, fortunately for FP. I really do think you've got a good head on your shoulders, and thanks for always being kind and willing to try new things. Good luck with this place, you've done really well so far, and I mean that!
