What domain provider do you prefer to use when you’re buying a new domain?

I’ve been using Namecheap for the past 20 years.

What’s your go to domain provider?

I've been using Namecheap for over a decade at this point. I've used 1&1 (which they're Ionos now) and I currently have a domain name with Cloudflare as well.

As a matter of fact, Namecheap is the only domain provider I use.

Namecheap is what I have always used, I like it.

I did use network solutions to register my blog’s domain most recently. Not really a fan of their interface and they’re always trying to upsell you at every step of the way while you’re on there.

Going to transfer my domain over to namecheap soon.

The reason I used network solutions to register my most recent domain is because they had advertised new .com and .net domains for $5. They had a sale going on. Once I go through the checkout screen it the price suddenly jumped up to $15 and I didn’t realize it until I had already paid. Customer support didn’t help me out with refunding me the $10 difference back either. If I knew I was going to pay $15 beforehand I would have just signed up with namecheap from the get-go.

For years I was with NameSilo, but after checking prices and finding CloudFlare a tad cheaper I decided to move everything over to them. It helps that I also use them on all my other sites also for other functions.

I used Google domains from it's start, transferred the domains in from GoDaddy, until they sold out to Squarespace. Now I use Namecheap.

I remember Network solutions from way back! It used to be the only thing you could use IIRC and it wasn't cheap.

I use Dreamhost for my domain names. I also use them for hosting. I like to keep it all under one roof.

Did that, fun fact for Namecheap. They wont let you transfer a domain name that is less than 60 days old. I had to wait 2 months before I could get my domain moved over there.

Namecheap, even though I've been using it for the first time ever 👍

I prefer to use namecheap. They even returned a pre-authorized payment for me recently.

I used GoDaddy way back in the day, but I've heard a lot of harsh criticism about it over the years, so I went with Namecheap and haven't had a problem with it since.

Oh I was a huge godaddy fan back in the day, but their prices made it impossible to stay especially when I have hundreds of domain names and them charging $20 a pop! I moved mostly to Dynadot but I still have a decent amount over at namecheap.

Been using Namecheap for many years, never had an issue

I don't have a favorite, but I've always just used GoDaddy. I do feel like I overpay though......
