So what age do you think you have to be to run a forum?

I think sixeteen. You are more responsible and you take more care on the internet other than some people.
I think the age of people running websites/blogs/forums will raise and will need proof to run any of these in the near future.

What do you think?

I don't think a specific age should matter, maturity on the other hand does.

I was an admin at FA at 14, although i wasn't running the forum, i think that does back up my point somewhat.

To be honest I don't think age matters too much all you need is the knowledge, time and experiece. Although above 13 is best as otherwise you can't register at many places due to restrictions and then it will be a lot harder to get things going.

It doesn't matter what age they are, but how mature they are and how well they know the internet, have experience etc. I know plenty of adults who could never run a forum (some have a hard time registering) yet there are even 10 year olds that run forums with lots of active members and run them well, so age doesn't really matter.

Age doesn't matter I was an expert coder at age nine and ran a successful forum that got hacked...

The reason why it got hacked was because I got into a fight with my Co-admin and he Deleted everything. So It wasn't because of responsibility.

I think it all depends on the content of your forum. My forum allows and has a lot of bad language on it, so if you were under 16 it would be appropriate to be running a forum like that.

Like most have mentioned, it doesn't matter the age, just the age with which you conduct yourself. As long as you are mature and responsible, it doesn't really matter.

Heck, I was 11 when I ran my first forum. -😉-

I think its not the age that matters its more the maturity of the person and how skilled they are.

I know I have been interesting in coding and such since around 5th grade.

I ran My first forum at 6 lol

30+ members , 560+ posts

and I was 6 😀

I was so proud of myself lol

I agree - good post! ........ gosh 6 is a tad young huh ? -😉-

I'm 16, it doesn't matter how old you are, just how good you are.. and if you have a job. 😉

i think you are over exaggerating at running a forum at six you were lucky if i knew how to go to Google.com and look at me now, I sometimes still forget.

Age is only but a number. I'm surprised most of you don't even know that.

I ran my first forum @ 9 years.
