What are some good hashtags to post on social media?

When I have time to post on the work social media account, I choose hashtags related to the post. So if I'm posting about an upcoming salon event, for example, I'll use something along the lines of #doggrooming, #[insert dog breed here]ofinstagram, and #[insert dog breed here]. I'll also include hashtags that'll pop up in searches in the local area, so continuing with the previous example, I'd use things like #[insert city name here]grooming or #[insert region name here]grooming to get the attention of those that are in the local area that would easily be able to access the store and the services provided. I also usually include the company related hashtags that are relevant to the post.

The biggest thing for me is ensuring that I reach as wide of an audience as possible within the local area, as the goal is to bring people into the store to receive the services. I'm okay with reaching out to a wider spectrum of people across the country, especially considering we have people from all over that come to this area, but my bigger focus is getting those that are easily able to reach the store to come in. Knowing the audience you're trying to reach is key because you can develop your hashtags around that to try to appeal to the people you're trying to reach.

Most common place to find what is popular, is by searching. But it also depends on what you are doing. We are a lift and leveling company, so we use a lot of different brands of cars as hashtags, or different types of style lifts we offer.

I think sometimes and I’m not saying that I particularly agree with this but you find that people will post 2/3 hashtags relevant to that they are talking about and then they will add one on that happens to be ‘trending’ at that time to get more exposure.

That's a nice strategy! What are the ones trending right now for websites?

I can’t say there any any trending right now nor have so ever really seen any trending specifically for websites sadly.

I do think that as far as social media is concerned, the hashtags are not rigid. You have to make enquiries of what is trending and find out how you can take advantage of that. This is something that is very important and should be practised by users of social media networks looking to run ads.

Popular, relevant, and catchy hashtags that relate to your content or target audience. Avoid using overly generic or spammy hashtags to promote organic growth and engagement. Research trending hashtags within your niche and mix in some branded hashtags for increased visibility.

I would only use a few, if any.

If you do, keep it directly related to the content you're posting. Basically, your target keywords.

Most social media platforms don't include hashtag use in search results. That's because they can be abused easily. So, the only way you get hashtag traffic is if people literally search for a hashtag. I haven't searched for hashtags in years.

You're better off using the right keywords and language in the content snippet of your post.

And of course, the visual matters.

Your content topic/niche determines what hashtags you should be using on your social posts. You can use chatgpt to find hashtags.
