Oh, I have only partially played through FFV. I was thinking more about endgame when I said that. I don't really know why I'd replay, though, can you give some explanation?
has anyone noticed games are getting longer and longer every year? even games with levels and no free roam seem to keep us hooked for a couple of weeks (or a few months if you have a life).
Plus wasnt GTA the only game that was free roam until saints row? look at all these free roam games we're seeing in 2013. would like to mention Watch Dogs for a start seeing as though no one really knows about that one
Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic '06 were pretty bad games. Definitely not worth putting any time (let alone money) into.
Shadow the Hedgehog's controls were sloppy at best. The lack of aiming control made shooting more difficult than it should have been and running felt like shadow was sliding all over everywhere.
Sonic '06 was a glitch fest and the story was pretty bad also.
For some quality games worth spending time with (aside from ones already mentioned)...
- Fallout 3 (or possibly New Vegas) isn't too bad. Yes it has some glitches and annoyances (it's made by Bethesda and none of their games are even close to glitchless.)
- Team Fortress 2 / Call of Duty (Modern Warfare or Black Ops series) / Battlefield - if you're up for some online First Person Shooter action, you can easily sink hundreds of hours into these.
- Disgaea series. (Disgaea is a PS3 exclusive) If you like turn based strategy games where you lead a squad of units to wipe out an opposing squad this one can easily suck 400 or so hours of your time.
Alternatively, you may also like Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced series if you have Nintendo consoles.
(Or Final Fantasy Tactics/War of Lions if you have PS3/Vita.)
- Star Ocean (Til end of time or Last Hope). Either roleplay game will take several hundred hours if you intend to do everything the games offer.
- Forza (360 only)/Gran Turismo 5 (PS3 only)/Need for Speed (Multi) - Racing fix with plenty to do in each game.
- Bayonetta (PS3/360). If you're up for some Hack and Slash action like Devil May Cry, this game will certainly keep you entertained. Or you could go with Devil May Cry Collection (PS3/360, not sure about PC... But includes DMC1-3), Devil May Cry 4 (PS3/360/PC - even if DMC4 is weaker than 1 or 3, it's not a bad game by any stretch. Still better than DMC2 though.), God of War collection (PS3 exclusive). Each has lots of action, tight controls and enough harder difficulties to keep those looking for challenges occupied for a little while anyway.
