What are you willing to pay for some graphics?

Logo?
Signature?
Banner for advertising?

I had some logo and work done for my Twitch page as a Streamer and also for BaysideGamers 🙂 My log for myself as regards Twitch but more of a bead of who I am and what I do on most networks it cost me around $80 and that's without Twitch badges and bits icon and whatnot 😉 I made emotes myself or brought them cheap for little things that are not worth spending too much. But once done it's yours to keep for years and years if not a lifetime.

End of the day I noyl do as much as I can afford or in many cases, you can create an artful project yourself all for free. Spending over $500 just for a professional logo is CRAZZZZZyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I consider myself a fairly decent graphics designer so I can usually create what I need. However I'm not adverse to paying someone with better skills than me when the need arises.

It is but it's not unusual for businesses to pay out millions or in some cases very much more. The amount Symantec paid for their logo and branding when they acquired VeriSign is said to be over a billion. British Petroleum paid in excess of $200 million for their current logo.

While the above are examples of the ultimate in excess I'd still argue that it's worth paying for a well designed logo if it helps defines your particular brand. How much you should pay is down to how much you can afford and how much your brand means to you. Personally I would pay more for a logo than I would a custom site theme.

Signatures and banners I can do myself but if you can't I'd go to fiverr or somewhere similar even if it's only for inspiration.

Since I use canva and photoshop, I have no intention of paying for graphics. I think with the evolution of AI, graphic designers are under the risk of losing their jobs.

start making money then from it 😛

I am always willing to pay artists their asking price for graphics especially if their work is really good and good quality. The chibi that I have set as my avatar is one that I had uniquely made for me for my content creation and streaming that I do, I now use it almost everywhere as it's my branding now and I paid $22 for the chibi that I had made.

I never spent any money on forum graphics (although I have been away from forums and back when I was on them - I didn't have a lot of expendable income), however, as a writer who needs artwork for his books and a publisher who needs artwork for other people's books, I've spent an awful. Somewhere in the neighborhood of over a thousand by now, I think. I'm alright at graphic design in my own right, which has helped alleviate some of my expenditures, however.

I think 500 $ for logo offer should be an expensive offer except that the business is worth it so you may apply for them.

Usually when I pay for graphics, I usually negotiate with the person making the graphics. We normally come to an agreement pretty easily. But it depends on what graphics they're making.

Since I've started using Canva I haven't really found a need to hire graphic designers anymore. Gone are the days that graphics required Photoshop/Adobe knowledge.

From a business perspective though, it's worth noting a lot of companies pay out so much for logos/branding because it's normally a whole brand package including guidelines, variants, colour codes, the related PR and research etc. Still crazy to think that some brands spend millions on that 😱

You'd be surprised how much advertising and marketing companies charge their clients! I worked in Chicago for years in both industries and was shocked how much they paid for a simple line drawing of a pig that was only 3 inches wide! Hundreds of dollars for something that would take a true illustrator about a half hour to an hour to do with pen, ink and illustration board.

I do see a lot of people turning to Canva and good for them to save money. But not all people have a keen eye for design and most don't understand spacing. Those of us who are trained are cringing at some of the stuff we see being put out. Sometimes it's worth the money 😀

If they are good and worthy yes.
but AI seems to be taking over, I got my TGA logo from an AI generated website.

I searched for the icon in your logo and there are a lot of other sites using it too.

I honestly had no idea, i guess its not a good idea after all🤔

I used Google Lens to search. It's not awful that others have the logo. You can always incorporate the icon more with the text somehow to make it more yours. One company added colors and another one added gradients that looked really cool. So don't give up on it.

I was going too but my cousin who is staff on the site too said the same thing so I definitely see what we can do! 🙂
