What are your thoughts on Forum Games?

Many forums nowadays have a section on their forum for forum games in which members can chill and relax and take part in forum games if they wish whilst browsing the forum.

What are your thoughts on forum games? Do you have a section on your forum for forum games or are you someone who doesn't bother with forum games?

Do you think forum games help with activity?

Even the grinch likes games however many of the forums I visit have the same ones.
Would be nice to see something different out there.

I'm on Proboards & seems many love the games. I have some on mine but they are not that active. I don't mind people playing them, I just get irked when I'm on theirs doing posts while they do one word answers on mine.

Just about most sites have that category and it's a place to just spam the flip out of things 😛 Your content count doesn't really matter as it doesn't go up. Well, depends on site to site and how they got their system set up. We tend to go overboard here on FP 😛 with Gif images and numbers. I like how not all members are into those boards or maybe they, not bothering to waste their time playing games. D

That doesn't mean it helps with actual activity thought, Do you have it on your Board..?

If the games are interesting, it's worth taking part in. But if it's just the number counting up or down, it's boring for my liking.

Forum games are fun but should not be counted for overall post count though.

I don't mind them, since for some people, that can be the only fun activity they're able to do, but I do not count them towards post count.

I have never seen any harm in having them and some members do seem to enjoy them. They also give me that old-school forum feel, so I will keep them around for sure,

I do not like forum games, I have none in my forum and even on the forums where there are forum games, I rarely participate in these games.
